Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

GamerCalc (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at https://gamercalc.com. We provide free value-list and trading calculators for Roblox, along with written guides on trading.

2. Data we collect

We do not collect personal data directly. The following third-party services may collect data as described:

  • Google Analytics 4 — collects anonymised usage data (pages visited, session duration, approximate location at country level) to help us understand how the site is used and improve it. It sets a persistent cookie (_ga); in the regions listed in Section 4 that happens only after you consent.
  • Google AdSense — may set cookies to measure ad delivery and performance. Ad personalisation is disabled site-wide and unconditionally; we serve non-personalised ads only. In the regions listed in Section 4, advertising cookies are set only after you consent.
  • Server logs — our hosting provider may log your IP address and browser user-agent for security and uptime monitoring. These logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not shared with third parties.

We rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage stays denied unless and until you consent through Google’s consent message. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8).
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — server-side security logging. Our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and ensuring uptime outweighs any privacy impact given the limited nature of the data and the short retention period.

We use Google Consent Mode v2, and what it does depends on where you are. For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising and analytics storage is denied before any tag runs — no advertising cookies are set and no analytics identifier is sent — and it stays denied until you consent through Google’s consent message. Everywhere else those two signals default to granted, as local law permits, and the notice on this page is what informs you of it.

Two signals are denied everywhere and for everyone, regardless of region or consent: ad_user_data and ad_personalization. See Section 9 for why.

When advertising cookies are denied, Google may still use cookieless pings and URL-based measurement (conversion modelling) to estimate aggregate ad performance. No identifiable data is shared in this mode.

5. Data sharing and transfers

We do not sell personal data. Data collected by Google Analytics and Google AdSense is processed by Google LLC, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, ensuring an adequate level of protection for transfers to the United States.

6. Your rights (EEA / UK)

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority

7. Your rights (United States)

Most of this site’s visitors are in the United States, so the short version first: the opt-out that California and the other state privacy laws give you is already applied to everyone, by default, and cannot be turned off.

Those laws are built around the right to stop a business “selling” or “sharing” your personal information for targeted advertising. We do not do that at all: Google’s ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals are denied for every visitor, in every state and every country, with no way for you or us to switch them on (see Sections 4 and 9). Every ad on this site is non-personalised, so there is no advertising profile of you to sell, share or opt out of. We also do not sell personal information in exchange for money, and we never have.

Beyond that, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for asking. In practice there is very little to request: using the calculators requires no account and no personal information, and what little exists is the anonymised analytics and short-lived server logs described in Section 2. Email privacy@gamercalc.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, nothing changes here — not because we ignore it, but because the outcome it asks for is what this site already does for everyone.

8. Managing your cookie preferences

Where a consent message applies to you (see Section 4), the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page reopens it, so you can withdraw or change your answer at any time. Outside those regions no consent message is shown and the link has nothing to reopen; the browser controls below remain available to everyone.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage interest-based advertising at My Ad Center.

9. Children’s privacy

Roblox, the game this site covers, has a significant audience under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not require an account or any personal information to use the calculators.

In recognition of that audience we treat this site as directed to children under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Advertising personalisation and Google’s ad-user-data signals are disabled site-wide and unconditionally — not only in regulated regions and not subject to consent — so no behavioural advertising profile is built from your use of this site. Google Analytics is likewise configured with Google Signals and ad personalisation switched off.

If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by displaying a new consent prompt.
